We talked about circles. The kids walked around the classroom and found circles. The door knobs were circles, the bottoms of the chairs, the radio speakers, some of our posters had circles...Then we traced the seals circus balls that were circles and colored them.
Then we talked about the color red. We walked around the classroom to find all of the things that were red. Hannah's skirt was red and so was Ethan's shirt:) We read two color books that had red items in them. The children took turns showing the class something that was red from each page. They got to color a basket of strawberries red...
Since our shape of the week is circles, we had a circle snack:)

They also made their own busy bee to hang on our wall.
I am so proud of these little ones! It is hard to be away from mom and dad, but they did so good!
I am looking forward to Thursday! I hope they are too!
